Once Walmart has the products they don't go back and the initial Spongetech sales are already locked up prior to stores receiving them. If the products doen't sell as expected they get reduced/clearanced and of course no more future orders and future spongetech sales from Walmart.
They don't ever go back to manufacturer unless they are recalled. Spongetech will lock up the initial sales numbers from Walmart before they hit the stores. It will be huge amounts thought because as most know they buy huge amounts to try to lessen the selling price. Then of course its on going dependant upon store sales for future orders. You purchase a sponge and the "Walmarts ordering system" orders more automatically. Manual orders can be put in by Managers for endcaps etc.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS ONCE THEY ARE BOUGHT BY WALMART BUYERS THE INITIAL PURCHASE ORDER $$,$$$,$$$ IS LOCKED UP BY SPONGETECH.
REGARDLESS OF HOW WELL THEY SELL AT STORE LEVEL!

In regards to the placement on how well this effects store sales is: Endcaps are the biggest short term movers they produce big sales overall. Usually used to test newer products before being put on sidecounters which are usually long term. I firmly believe the sales would be stronger in the correct dept. area vs. the "As seen on TV" section which is overlooked. We want endcaps and sidecounter after.
