JNR boosts private placement to five million shares

JNR Resources's private placement announced in Stockwatch on March 18, 2004, has been increased from four million shares to five million shares at a price of 50 cents per share for total proceeds of $2.5-million.

Toll Cross Securities of Toronto, Ont., has been appointed as the company's exclusive agent for the offering, on a best-efforts basis. The company has agreed to pay Toll Cross a commission equal to 5 per cent of the gross proceeds of the offering, payable in cash at, and conditional on, closing of the offering.

A portion of the net proceeds of this private placement will be used toward exploration on the company's uranium properties, located in Saskatchewan, and potential acquisition and exploration of one or more additional uranium properties, as currently under review. The balance of the net proceeds will be used for general working capital purposes.

I believe the Lundin group might be interested in the uranium aspect possibly gold though that may be a slight stretch. Point I make here Lundins typically invest from afar letting the company run it's own show without interference. That would be in keeping with their style. Urban might still be in charge of the diamonds but Lundin gets the uranium mining. Win Win situation also Lundins have never been in diamonds to my knowledge.
