The question is not whether Kid Rock wants to stay involved, or for that matter, whether the beer even gets going. Just in general, what is the value of a celebrity named or packaged product versus a celebrity endorsed one. One advantage of the named vs. endorsed is it locks the celebrity into the deal more strongly since it's less likely Kid Rock is going to jump to Bud (for example) when he has his own branded beer.
