I would like to know where are the people of Berlin going to get money to gamble with if at present they cant hardly feed their families. You think all these employees are going to live and spend in Berlin? If so, your delusional. Also, guess what? Employees of a casino can't gamble, so please who are the gamblers that will make this a successful enterprise?
The whole state and surrounding states are feeling the pinch in this economy. There are very few jobs. What makes you and your compadres so sure that Harrah's, Trump, or Wynn will waste their resources on a little town in New Hampshire when they can barely hang on in AC? Trumps Taj Mahal failed in AC and it was packed all the time with gamblers. For them to succeed they need every slot machine and every table packed 24 hours a day and seven days a week and thats just not going to happen in Berlin. I know what happened to Atlantic City when gambling came to them.
The beaches are now a dumping ground for hypodermic needles and the homeless abound on the boardwalk. Poor people with a little money get poorer when casinos are around. Get it through your head, Berlin will fall into the muck if this happens.
