I think upc.neom.com is used by NeoMedia's Sales STAFF or BD STAFF.

This is a very good way to showcase your product or services to new potential clients. Also, a good way to do some R&D.

NeoMedia can and will do R&D in the future.
However, I'm sure they are not doing as much R&D from previous because...lack of STAFF and also main focus on the current '048 patent situation.

Company be UP for Sale is probably the key here.
We shall find out in due time. All IMO of course.
