Capstone Reports Significant Increase in Copper-Gold Mineral Resources at Minto Mine, Yukon

VANCOUVER, June 9 /CNW/ - Capstone Mining Corporation (CS: TSX) today announced the results of National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimates for its high grade Minto copper-gold mine in Yukon, Canada. New mineral resource estimates were completed for the combined Area 2/Area 118 deposit, the Ridgetop deposit and the Minto North deposit and are current to today's date, while mineral resources and mineral reserves for the Minto Main deposit (current open pit) were adjusted to reflect mining activity up to December 31, 2008. These updated mineral resource estimates include results from almost all of the drilling conducted up to the end of April 2009, and will form the basis of Capstone's Phase IV expansion study for the Minto Mine.
