OT: Sob, now I can't even reach iHub with IE period. It tells me it is unavailable, tosses up my VPN connection and asks me if I want to go online... weird... I guess iHub is off the hook...
So...
1) on my clean install of XP Pro on the backup machine (on DSL through router) NO gifs
2) on my machine through the proxy using Rogers' NO speed Cable NO Gif, trouble loading period...
3) on my machine through the router (normal setup) NO Gif, trouble loading period...
4) on the old 98 machine hosting the proxy directly connected to Rogers NO speed NO gifs either.
The only common theme is we are in the GTA .... it's obviously an anti Toronto conspiracy LOL ... plus I've obviously got the typical Windows problems ... I guess using a 4000 dollar setup for only browsing is the way to go... don't try an combine it with any of those other things Windoze is supposed to do...
