As for the big picture I know why Bush did what he did, it was mean and trivial and it showed him for the small person I always knew he was. Yes I voted for him but only because of the alternative. Never once in the primaries.

As for banking with an East Coast monolith, most everyone does in some form or another. Not much choice anymore, you could go credit union but even the credit cards are East Coast. So what do you do?

As far as the judge goes, she will do what judges are suppose to do, that just leaves how much protection JPM has that is above the law, we have seen a lot of that lately.

No there are no good arguments for JPM or the FDIC, JPM was in worse financial shape at the time of the seizure and sale of WMI (That is my opinion) I believe the FDIC could not bail out JPM so they needed a way to boost their books. They gave them a bank and many write-offs, and JPM had to either get really greedy to just take everything or they really needed it to make the books look good enough. JPM has done this often enough to know what a bank is and what a holding company is and what they could and could not take and get away with.
