Anchor stock is a stock that represent a solid company with good grow year by year with a strong management that don’t play tricks and have interest in there shareholder.
Take my favorite one i play it for years for short term play and as a long investment, the biggest generic company in the world "Teva Pharmaceutical Industries" and this was once a very small company.
Although i am not a big fan of Israeli companies but TEVA is a unique company that perform very well and do many take over around the world, and she still keep growing with solid performance .
Also something that i can tip you, always before the US market open you can pick at the Israeli market, when the us market open the Israeli market is before closing so you can have some idea were the stock is going the Israeli call it a dual stock ,also Anchor stock perform very well on TA.
