Lets be honest here there are three factors that caused GM's downfall and will prevent it from making a meaningful recovery

1) Union workers demands. Most are unskilled and make more than I do as a trained Physicist and Nuclear Engineer

2) Management slow to react to consumer demands

3) Government intervention in free market with CAFE standards

This is not about GM its about the Obama administration taking his socialist agenda to the NEXT level. Every opinion piece on the subject has asserted that the moves are purely political and have no basis in sound economics
