All of the products that PDMI has developed will lead to more people keeping more of their sight longer. The ability to see is very important to patients and their quality of life. Since most glaucoma patients are older, their ability to live independently for longer will depend on how well they can see things. I believe that these products will help thousands of people stay at home rather than be transitioned into an assistd living situation which could bring about a new set of problems for the patient, such as depression.
