TheComicStore.com Announces New Online Commerce Platform

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 2001-- TheComicStore.com (Pink Sheets:CMIX) announced today that it intends to re-launch its web sites (www.thecomicstore.com, www.10sider.com, and contracted web site www.easydvd.com) onto the Great Plains accounting and e-commerce platform.

Ross Rojek said, ``Due to our growing relationship with Syconet.com (OTC:SYCD - news), it makes sense to integrate our accounting systems and e-commerce platform with the system that Syconet uses. This alliance will allow TheComicStore.com Inc. to increase shareholder value, and improve results to our bottom line.'

In addition, Mr. Rojek pointed out, the database for the products being sold on each web site will be able to be listed and sold on each other web site, with very little time in customization of that database. Comics & Comix, Mr. Rojek's privately held comic book store chain, will also be exploring finding a Point of Sale system, that will allow the store's inventory also to be easily integrated with TheComicStore.com.
