This is a longshot, but any chance this is what's going on?

Palo Alto Investors, Medarex and IDM Pharma agreed to the buyout so that they could maintain their minimum valuation of $50 million to remain on NASDAQ, while they continue to "passively" look for offers? I know it's unlikely, but I keep hoping and hoping.
