After looking at some relevant information over the weekend regarding Matt Brown and IHUB, I'm thinking either one of two things will happen:
A. IHUB is shut down.
I give this about a 10% chance of happening.
B. IHUB and SI are combined and re-branded by ADVFN
I give this about a 90% chance of happening.
I think the transition could work something like this:
All IHUB and most SI moderators and IT people would be terminated. The few left would assist in transition to the new site.
IHUB would be shut down, but content saved. Penny sites would likely be shuttered. This could take a weekend or a week.
SI would be a transition site for the time after an IHUB shutdown, but before a new branded site is started.
The new branded site would open with the legacy sites able to be navigated within the new site during a transition period. Those short-cuts would eventually go away, leaving little overt evidence of the old legacies.
While this may seem outrageous at first glance, I really do not see many alternatives given what we now know about the SEC investigation into Matt Brown and his alleged partners in the complaint and events leading up to the SEC complaint.
