Yes but isn't a crotch shot to intel for a year is well worth it...

Current management will keep their eye on the ball for 65nm, they won't sacrifice the future for a quick (and expensive) short term 90nm fix in fab 36. If you want to displace Intel's dominant position then it has to be done by focussing on the fundamentals of great product on great manufacturing with great marketing. Limited resources have to be marshalled to that end, not on side shows.
