imo the settlement reference is regarding intellectual property related to WaMu along with NOLs, capital losses, certain liabilities such as pensions, etc.

The research of the historical stock and bond prices are related to determining the total losses related to stocks and bonds and the term sheet is related to who is entitled to what portion of each of the losses.

I don't think that the word "settlement" is what many of you think.


I could be wrong, but I think a lot of people are seeing what they want to see.
