10:35 Dollar Slides; PMs sing!!!
The U.S. dollar continues to trade with considerable weakness, which has taken the Dollar Index (-0.6%) to 2009 lows. With the dollar down, commodities are garnering support. As such, the CRB Commodity Index is up a healthy 0.4%, which extends its week-to-date gain to 3.0%... While the CRB is up, crude oil prices have been looking for direction this morning. Oil currently trades with a modest 0.1% loss at $61.00 per barrel. Meanwhile, natural gas prices are down 2.2% to $3.52 per contract... Precious metals are giving off a luster, though. Gold was last quoted 0.9% higher at $959.90 per ounce, while silver was quoted 2.0% higher at $14.75 per ounce.
