I was speaking in terms of idle power consumptions during the use of DBS and sleep based power management. Since Prescott is a worse offender in terms of non-managed power, it is likely to receive more of a benefit when all the management modes are turned on. It's like considering which chip would save more watts by going into sleep mode: a Dothan or a Prescott? If Dothan has a more sophisticated power management system, they will probably save a greater *percentage* of watts, but at a max TDP of 21W, how much could it possibly be in *absolute* terms? (This is a rhetorical question, by the way - Dothan's power savings are listed in the datasheet). Prescott, on the other hand, may not get the same percentage savings as the specifically mobile designed Dothan core, but in absolute terms, given that it is a worse power offender, it is likely to save many times more watts. I think we would see a similar comparison with Athlon 64.
