Plenty of different ways to merge.

wyeth and pfizer merged in Jan, both are seperate.

Immnuex remained Immunex for years and until Enbrel was aproved and b/4 Amgen bought them.

PPHM needs a sugar daddy with cash and trial exp.
No BP or BB is going to pay $10+ for a co with 225m os's and no drugs on the mkt and with limited data.

Taking a large position at this level and keeping it PPHM makes the most sense...Any appreciation and positive data benefits the parent co and PPHM. Just merging would instatntly increase PPHM's worth.

Haven't seen too many co's sold for billions that did not have a drug on the mkt...
