There is no evidence to suggest that Laidlaw Berlin Biopower and the city of Berlin cannot co-exist. With that in mind, Berlin is a city on the decline and is in a severely depressed state. I can assure you that isn't because of Laidlaw.

Laidlaw will bring much needed revenue to Berlin, as well as 40 direct jobs and a slew of ancillary jobs. The Laidlaw plant will be clean (MUCH cleaner than anything that formally stood on the site). If the environment is the main concern, then that councilman will understand that forests grow. It is what the do and will continue to do. The forest needs to be maintained and part of that maintenance is sustainably foresting it.
