1) I still don't believe that NYC flyover story. I believe it was an experiment. Either that or the Commander who allowed it has bipolar disorder, or worse.

Hmmmmmm. I hadn't even thought about this before (that it could be an 'experiment,') but I actually do believe that it was accidental. I'm not saying that you couldn't be right though.

2) You gotta love the progressiveness of this administration (regarding the article you just cited). Changing things/plans midstream--and not digging themselves deeper in the hole like a prior administration I know--is admirable.

Well, the Bush administration did not want those photos released either. After someone got ahold of them though and spread them over the internet, there was nothing that could be done about it. Do you realize that the worst photos have never been shown? That's what some Senators said way back when. I'm not exactly sure what Obama meant when he said "The photos are not sensational.". But he's using the exact same reasoning that Bush used for not showing all, ""I am concerned about how the release would impact on the safety of our troops." Yeah? Well, how 'bout pulling all the troops like he'd promised from Iraq? Then he wouldn't have to worry about their safety. I'm sick of war. I'm sick of our country trying to find excuses for war. Is Iran next? Then who? Obama isn't Progressive enough for my taste but he's better than anyone the Republicans had to offer.

3) This out of control, fear driven, Republican/Conservative right, is giving me a glimpse into the slaveowner/abolitionist battle between the North and South in historic times. Can you guess who I would consider to be the symbolic 'slavery supporters' in today's struggle? Bush/Cheney/Limbaugh/Hannity/Beck (Glen)--sorry I gave it away.

Well, here I agree with you 100%.
