Fastfish: Triangle drawing isn't automated in the stockcharts package. You do have to identify and draw the trends and patterns yourself. You can see exactly what it's like by going to any stockcharts.com chart and clicking on the "Annotate" button just underneath the chart graphic. It loads the editor in a popup window.
