Just a quick update.
I walked in the door an hour ago from a nearly two-week trip to Abuja. Yes, that's right, I've been in Abuja and this time I was there to work on Xechem problems and such. I can't really discuss much of what went on there, but I can say that it was an amazing trip. Funny thing was, I arrived on Thursday the 30th and returned today and the most productive time I spent there was the 30 minutes in the car to the airport and the 30 minutes prior to that. I can't mention who was in the car with me, but when we got to the airport he looked at me, laughed and said, "Isn't it funny how you can spend 2 weeks someplace trying to get something accomplished and the last 30 minutes before you leave you actually feel like you got somewhere..."
Things could get very interesting over the next few weeks.
BTW, I didn't stay for the conference that was mentioned, I really wanted to because a Professor I worked for my freshman year at Columbia was giving the keynote today. Unfortunately the amount of hassle I was going to have to go through to change my flight back and a few other things just wasn't worth it. I had the meetings I went to have and they were very productive and it was time to come home.
