Omnicity Enters Into Fiber Optic Construction Deal With Lebanon Utilities

RUSHVILLE, Ind., May 8, 2009 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Omnicity Corp (OTCBB:OMCY) continues to move forward with their business model to deliver "Broadband to the Heartland" and has taken another major strategic step in expanding and enhancing its Midwestern fixed wireless and fiber optic network by signing an important agreement with Lebanon Utilities in Lebanon, Indiana. Under the terms of the agreement Omnicity will construct the fiber optic network to connect the Lebanon Community Schools with Lebanon Utilities. Omnicity's fiber optic construction team won the bid to construct the network and it represents the first of many fiber optic construction projects that the Company plans to complete in 2009. "We continue rapidly forward with the execution of our business model by moving beyond our wireless network in building more fiber optic solutions that support our current infrastructure. Our agreement with Lebanon Utilities allows us to further fulfill our mission by building, buying and partnering strategically to grow, meet and exceed the Omnicity plan to provide Broadband services in some of the more challenging un-served and underserved areas of rural America," added Greg Jarman, COO of Omnicity.

Omnicity began offering fiber optic construction services to enhance the fixed wireless network they currently own that covers more than 17,000 square miles in the Midwest United States. "We are excited about working with Omnicity as they continue to merge into a leading provider of fixed wireless and fiber optic connectivity across Indiana and beyond. It is great to see a local company emerge as one of the fastest growing and forward thinking providers of broadband services," commented Randy Parsons, IT Director for the City of Lebanon, Indiana and Lebanon Utilities.
