Much to my amazement, it looks like Loudeye has legs. For a long time they messed around with hosting sample files and building relationships, but this deal with Nokia changes my outlook on them. They are not really an iTms competitor but instead offering multimedia network services...
Even still mpeg4 looks like it will become the winner for video and perhaps audio in the mobile space. I'm not to sure how keen Sony, Ericson & Nokia are to have some WMP serving their media offerings
