Oh, I didn't forget that sir. My post was based on the way things are and not how I believe they should be. This country would unrecognizable from its current state if I had my way. I don't think I'll ever get my way though. It'd be too tough for all of the lazy bastards with their "poor-me" complexes who blame the world for their lot in life and demand that the "can do's", who bust their asses to get where they are, give them a cut of their efforts.
Since you guys got me on the subject of all that pisses me off...
Here's another one: So called "equal rights". Apparently, the way to take racism out of the equation is to use racism? I don't know about other people, but if I had a company and I wanted employees, I don't give a shit what race or religion they are. I look for skill, dependability and competence. Last time I looked, none of those had anything to do with skin color or any god.
So if someone would please explain to me how the best solution is to be racist and hire so many minorities, based upon their skin color/religion etc, instead of just giving them all THE SAME test and hiring as many as I need based upon their test performance, it sure would clear up some long-standing confusion for me.
Am I really the dummy? When I was growing up I was told that this country is the land of opportunity, which to me meant that I could go as far as I wanted to go in life and do whatever I wanted to do as long as it didn't hurt someone else. (Actually, I was never told that part, it was always a given, an inherent quality not to screw others to get what I wanted). Apparently though, not only is it perfectly ok to screw others, it's also a benefit if you have the attitude of a victim with a chip on your shoulder. No wonder I never got very far.
Ok, no more rants for today. Time to get my head in the game...
