As there would be from any Creditor looking after their interest, in this case it's tax payer interest. Why is that a bad thing? GM made their own bed, not the government.

Seems to me that the current administration is damed if they do help, called socialist, or damed if they don't help. Thousands of jobs lost. No? Gov bailed out the Banks...Very little choice than to give a life line to the auto industry if not for simple timing before BK. Not giving them a bone...spread-out the bad news: BK would of been disaster for markets last December imo. Ford seemed to find a way to manage itself. No?
