I just started a new subscription to the New Yorker, I had forgotten how excellent their writing and content was. oddly enough, my Father was a staunch Republican and John Birch Society supporter, but the only 2 periodicals he subscribed to were the New Yorker and National Review.
The articles on terrorism, Iraq and current politics are excellent and informative, not just because they often agree with my views but because this magazine gets the best writers, Nobel, Pulitzer and Booker award winners.
There is something going on, I am not sure what it is, but I don't think the mainstream media is providing the complete stories
