Why you ask? Here's why. There is fear in the unknown.
One is expected to shy away from the "mysterious" actions of a stock.

To know what is really happening removes that fear, uncertainty, and doubt.

We know the pp is limited.
We know what the pp was for.
We know the pp shares are effective now.(notice all those fearful rumors have now disappeared?)

jk21, you are right, it is simple supply and demand.
The supply is increased(old news) and limited in scope.
