"Everyone" wants some guru to give them what they don't have - both in life and in this stock.

Lots of people try their best to fill that position and get crucified when they cannot live up to the expectations of "Everyone".

Then, in the fullness of time, "Everyone" realises the guru they crucified was right, he just wasn't necessarily accurate in his timing. And he is forgiven and even praised.

...but you get what you need.
