TASHKENT, Apr 30, 2009 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- A two-day meeting of co-chairmen of Tajik-Uzbek intergovernmental commission for delimitation and demarcation of common border opened in Tashkent on 29 April at the suggestion of the Uzbek side. The commission co-chairmen are Tajik Security Council Secretary Amirqul Azimov and Uzbek Prime Minister Rustam Azimov. The meeting are attended by heads of relevant ministries and organizations of the two countries, the information department said. Along with delineation of border between the two countries in the four remaining disputable areas, the sides also discuss a number of other issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. They are expected to consider acceleration of coordination and singing of government-to-government agreements on resumption of aerial communication, international automotive communication, Uzbek natural-gas deliveries to Tajikistan and opening of representative office of Tajiktransgaz (Tajik state natural-gas distributor) in Tashkent.
