Catman… I ignored your warning not to read and read… Thanks for the response, being a people person I love to talk religion and politics. I have my political points of view that tend toward the conservative side, yet because I don’t judge people (to much) I have some very good friends who are very-very-very liberal. On the Christian side I am more liberal in that I don’t just accept as true all that my particular group passes on as true… This is all a side issue when it comes to this site. I see the site as more of a place to enjoy (not the correct word) or share fears about an investment that none know where it is going and are looking for reassurances to help with emotions that are tied to money losses… misery loves company, right?
The “South”… up until a few years ago South to me was San Diego, East was Las Vegas, then I drove an RV 12,000 miles over a 6-month period and on that trip I did visit the deep south. Having friends who lived there in their teen years and hearing their stories created an interest in the area. I will say that having started life in Idaho and having never seen or met a black person before I was about 12 had not prepared me for racism as I saw and felt in the south (that was 8 years ago). From my reading I tend to think it was much worse pre-60’s… sad deal it was!
Anyway thanks for your posts… again may your thoughts toward STUOF be proven incorrect.
