Dimension,

I have been a full time trader since 1988, 1.4 million dollar house paid for in cash, no debt and live a good life. I am up about 36% so far this year. I don't know what your status or money management techniques are but mine work for me.

I at no time said it would be "foolish to be long". In the past week have made over 50 points on the nq being long and selling near the top of swings so i don't know where you get your information.
