I read in one of the news articles I posted last night...

That Roche was the company that has the treatment for Swine Flu, and they are prepared to quickly mass produce and distribute it...

"The CDC says two flu drugs, Tamiflu and Relenza, seem effective against the new strain. Roche, the maker of Tamiflu, said the company is prepared to immediately deploy a stockpile of the drug if requested...Both drugs must be taken early, within a few days of the onset of symptoms, to be most effective...Cordoba said Mexico has enough Tamiflu to treat 1 million people, but the medicine will be strictly controlled and handed out only by doctors."

Are they a publicly traded company?...I just did a Google Search, and here's the Investors page of their website...

http://www.roche.com/investors.htm

It looks like they're based in Switzerland, and traded on that Stock Market and maybe not on ours?...I did a couple of other searches, and can't find a ticker symbol for Roche on the Exchanges here...hmmmmm...

If we can trade this one here, it just might be a good idea to pick up some shares...

And it looks like GloxoSmithKline is the makeer of RELENZE, which is the other successful treatment for Swine Flu...

"GlaxoSmithKline Plc’s flu treatment Relenza and Roche Holding AG’s Tamiflu appear effective against the strains of the virus the CDC has tested, the companies said. Glaxo has “ample supplies” of Relenza, Sarah Alspach, spokeswoman for the London-based drugmaker, said yesterday in a telephone interview. Roche, based in Basel, Switzerland, has a stockpile of 5 million Tamiflu doses ready to deploy if WHO asks, said Terry Hurley, a company spokesman."

They are a stock we can buy, and it's only about $30. per share!...

It looks like we might have a few good plays for next week if we can find how to trade Roche...Roche looks like it may have the better treatment, but they are both effective...

NVAX jumping up 75% makes me wonder if it has anything left in it?...hmmmmm...I'll look at it's charts this weekend...Thanks! for the "tip" zturk ;^))
