According to that article it was something short of a miracle that that poor woman survived being shot in the head.

However, I didn't see any mention of her hair color. If she was a blonde then the odds of a single bullet passing through the head and actually hitting anything vital is extremely low.

Sometimes news reporters leave out facts to make the story more dramatic.
