AMD touts low power Shanghai EE for "earth day"

It offers a full suite of virtualization and power management capabilities so customers do not have to compromise on feature sets in order to deploy very low power servers.

The new chip scores 1088 ssj_ops/W on SPECpower_ssj2008.

Too bad for AMD the Nehalem x5520 stomps that with 1813
ssj_ops/W. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
