I think it is about times states stood up for their the rights of their citizens. The Federal Government has for too long trampled States rights, forcing non-funded mandates and useless programs on the States. Of course Sovereign assertions are bi-partisan in the State houses, members are for the most part part-time legislators and serving terms for service and duty, not for stature and power, it's not their career which is what was intended for the Federal Government also. They are also not far removed from their constituencies and understand the problems facing them. The media and Washington Elites don't take it seriously for either not understanding the Constitution or not caring about trampling it.
Citizens need to send those in Washington a strong message that we're fed up and that is one strong way of doing it unfortunately it will be lost on many in Washington. The other message that needs to be sent is replacing the current bunch of do nothing legislators in Congress by not re-electing the incumbents in 2010 regardless of party. Throw them out and make them work for a living.
