NEXT WEEK! Is the biggest week of the Year for the green movement. All the intention of the world will be on the green movement. Would love to get our EESO on CNBC news or something big like that especially on Earth Day. Disney has a huge Earth Movie being released on April 22nd on Earth day. So many companies are planning huge events. Would be nice if Jared could announce some big contracts that could get national exposure.

EARTH DAY ON THE NATIONAL MALL, APRIL 19 2009

The Flaming Lips Headline; EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to Speak

Earth Day Network will commemorate Earth Day 2009 with a large-scale event on the National Mall in Washington, DC. On April 19th from noon to 6pm, like in years past, hundreds of thousands of people will take Metrobus, Metrorail, walk, and bike to the heart of the nation’s capital to witness the official launch of The Green GenerationTM and show their support for responsible, brave environmental policy that helps us face the challenges ahead. Earth Day will bring together families, adults of all ages, civic leaders, entertainers and other community members to celebrate Earth Day and share a common commitment to make greener life choices and stem the tide of climate change.

The event will feature top talent The Flaming Lips, moe., Los Lobos and Dj. Spooky. Confirmed speakers and celebrities include: EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, Chevy Chase, Matthew Modine, Representative Edward Markey, Majora Carter, Reverend Yearwood of The Hip Hop Caucus and Steve Thomas, former host of This Old House.

The event includes an Eco-Roadshow with exhibits from non-profits, companies striving to go green, government agencies and foreign embassies. Exhibitors will be located in the main event area, between 4th and 7th streets on the National Mall, and also on the corner of Maryland and Independence avenues, right by the Museum of the American Indian. Check out this list of exhibitors, and stop by to visit them!
