The gov's going to be real weary about projecting more influence over banks and big cos. A lot of people get real pissed off when leaders supposedly try to further "socialize" them. If you're a set it and forget it investor now, then I think buy during the doom and gloom, diversify your holdings, and you'll be good. If you have all your beans in one bank, you're not diverse enough.
