Even if every PC produced from June 1st on were to have the NX protection the total pool of in use PCs wouldn't be replaced for 5-10 years. Now I'm sure in 2-4 years the percentage would be high enough to be significant to new virus writers but until then if you want to be protected you need to be in the minority that has NX.

And as someone else said the viruses that are written with NX in mind will be weaker than the ones that aren't. The vulnerability that NX blocks is very significant.

In short, I don't think it'll ever be a significant marketing point as I expect INTC and all other players to join the party. But I do think it will have a significant impact on increasing system security.
