POINTE-CALUMET, QC--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 16, 2009 -- Organa Gardens International Inc. (OTC BB:OGNG.OB - News), an advocate of vertical hydroponic farming, is reinventing the wheel, a food wheel that is sustainable without being subject to climate changes or limited space amongst many other limiting factors that affect field farming and greenhouse growing. With a unique "spin" on hydroponic technology, Organa Gardens' hydroponic wheels use a constant, controllable artificial light instead of sunlight and can be stacked and housed in warehouses or buildings with high ceilings.

The Company has retained an expert in hydroponic farming to establish the protocol of growing fruits and vegetables in the Organa Gardens Systems OGS-E (Enterprise), a prototype which is the commercial version of Organa's Food Wheel.

Organa Gardens is monitoring the growing process of various herbs and vegetables that have been planted. The initial set of herbs and vegetables are cilantro, basil, thyme and oregano as well as various types of lettuce such as romaine, red-leaf, curly and spinach.

This is all in preparation of bringing the OGS-E to commercialization within the next few months.
