UPC, Re: You've been posting a lot of incorrect information lately. You should probably acknowledge your errors before rushing to declare that the false assertion in question didn't matter anyway.

Whatever. I was wrong about XD already being enabled. I was off by 1.5-2 months, so that's far from "posting a lot of incorrect information." Even so, it only reinforces my point that AMD is not going to put horrendous pressure on Intel in H1 2005 with 64-bit and "Enhanced Virus Protection" (#msg-3688206). If you believe differently, then by all means increase your position in AMD now that it's cheap, rather than fanning the flames of Internet BBS debate.

Re: And with Intel flailing and needing to launch 130nm Northwoods and EE parts on LGA775, *those* parts will not have NX either.

Intel will eventually transition to Prescott core for Extreme Edition when they come out with the larger cache chips. Whether this is in the short term or not until Q1 2005, what do you think will be the impact in terms of dollar amounts to AMD? You can use subjective words all you want, but it's only the bottom line that anyone cares about.
