Joe;

The problem I have with critics like you is, that you don't actually listen to the music!

It seems that you have a problem with anyone who does not agree with you. A person does not have to consume an entire pile of manure before he realizes that it tastes like what it is.

I bet you think Eminem is rap music, well it's not.

I believe that you are wrong, again. You may not like Eminem but he is rap. It may not be what you call rap, but none-the- less, he is rap. Sugar Hill would not be considered rap by many, but the fact is they helped get it started. Just because the music is a little different does not make it not a part of the style. Fans of Elvis and Buddy Holly had very little in common with Beetles and Stones fans, but the fact is It was all Rock & Roll.

. I would bet, you've listened to less than 5 non-radio songs in your life. Don't judge something unless you've fully experienced it.

You would loose, yet again. I have probably forgotten more music than you have heard in your life. I have always been open to new styles and kept an open mind. A person does not have to fully experience something to form an educated opinion. He simply has to have enough facts, common sense and enough guts to make up hs own mind if he likes something instead of just going along with the crowd.

rap music is great to listen to and sends a positive message. Most people like you have a pre-set thought in their head that rap music is bad listening, and sends a bad image, so when you listen to a song, no matter what you're going to think it's bad. I guess it's people like you and Dan Quayle, who put a negative image on the most positive people.

We have all seen the 'positive' messages that rap sends. Slappin' yur beetch, Ho's, pay back messages and etc. are all good reasons to listen to rap, I guess. As far as comparing me to Dan Quayle, if that was an insult, none was taken. There are are a lot worse people I figure that I could have been compared to.

In conclusion, my opinion of rap means nothing. Neither does yours'. Beng mature enough to understand that everone does not agree with you and that music is to be appreciated by the listener is what it is about. My remarks were made to a person that shared a like opinion of rap that I do. You chose to interrupt the grown ups with your 'hissey fit'. If you have a different opinion than those in the discussion, please ease yourself into the conversation or at least stay out of it. With all due respect ~ shao
