At the moment (since this is all public record), there are no documents filed with the IRS for this sale. I forwarded the gentleman the PR of the sale and was assured this will be looked into. I was also told, this may take up to 90 days (which is a bummer), but rest assured, the IRS has been notified. THere are certain guidelines that have to be complied with in major sales and tax reporting. They also said they work closely with the SEC in cases like this and use information thats reported to them or through them."

Wow...big man on campus, er, board. Receiving requests for review(s) from the public is routine service work for government agencies.

I performed many field investigations for a federal agency for years. 99+% of the time there was nothing there, but I diligently and thoroughly went through the process each time, just in case. Believe me, there was no excitement or anticipation for anyone in my agency when we received and processed these requests (which were often angry letters or incoherent phone calls), but just another job to do. We thanked the caller/writer, performed the review, and often had to provide the subsequent news that was frequently not received well or in a civil manner(!).

You're contacting a bunch of regulators? Great...yawn...please let us know what you hear...
