All,

I had a great visit at Cyclone last week. Just wanted to update the board on what I saw.

When I got there they were working on improving the heat exchanger efficiency for the WHE. After making some modifications to the heat exchanger it very simply was piped back to the WHE. They are using a diesel blower to simulate the heat produced from the Bent Glass furnace. Before actually reaching the desired temperature the WHE came to life. At the desired temperature the engine was spinning like a top. VERY FAST!!!!

They are life testing the WHE so they would run it for several hours, then break it down to look inside for wear points etc. I was amazed to see that the WHE, except for some discoloration due to temperature, was completely unfaysed by running. Completely spotless inside!!!

In addition to this, the shop was a flurry of activity on the other projects including the automobile engine and the Raytheon testing.

All in all, a great visit and time very well spent. I highly encourage you to make some time for a visit.
