upc, embarc - Should be pretty easy to tell. If it's paid by the MB makers, then it'd be arranged by brand; high bid for best placement. If, however, it's arranged perhaps by CPU/socket type with no regard for MB maker brand, then perhaps AMD funded it. OR maybe even by chipset brand, with nVidia or Via funding it.
