28 dollars is a ripoff for sure. I got better prices than that back when TD Waterhouse first started doing online trading. If I recall correctly it was 14.95 per trade back then.

Scottrade is 7.50 + 1/2 percent of the principal per share for stocks under a dollar. Even with that extra fee for stocks under a dollar almost all of my trades are under ten dollars. Usually right around 8.50.

I know there are cheaper outfits available but I'm the type of person that likes to be able to talk to someone in person if I ever have a problem with my account. Luckily I haven't had to even use that feature because I never have any troubles with them. The occasional restricted stock is no biggie at all to me. The work-around to solve that problem is pretty damn easy.

"Sort of" is such a harmless thing to say. "Sort of". It's just a filler. "Sort of" - It doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
