FVRL: Thought for the day: MMR Pro and newly added E-prescribing module..

From yesterdays PR:
E-Prescribing: E-prescribing modules will enable doctors to use the latest in technologies to enter the E-Prescribe revolution with MMR Pro at no additional cost.

According to this info any Doctor who signs up for MMR Pro not only gets Computerized Medical Records but also gets e-prescribing capabilities(writing prescriptions online) at no extra cost.

I'm not sure people realize how huge this is

A)Because what doctor would pay for just e-prescribing when they can get it free from MMR bundled with the Computerized Medical Record package MMR Pro offers.

B)Because in order to qualify for any stimulus money Doctors have to use e-prescribing and have their medical records computerized. Those were the two criteria under Hitech.
