Did anyone catch the first episode of the Ed Show on MSNBC. He states that he is for the middle class, unions, and healthcare. He STRONGLY supports the buy American plan for the troubled auto industry. My question on that would be, "Should I buy a truck from a Japanese company that most parts are manufactured in America and is assembled in Texas - or should I buy a truck from an American company where most parts are manufactured in Mexico and is assembled in Canada?" Buy American doesn't really have any teeth now that most, if not all of our mega-corporations have shipped many jobs to outsource countries. GM needs to clean up their legacy costs and bring back the jobs that they outsourced - and than cry for a "Buy American" campaign.
