Reboot your PC and try it from the top again. It does work. What this does is update the player to songbird v1.1.2 but the application itself (at the bottom left of the screen) still says v0.6. That's because portability is not active yet. They want everyone make sure there are no issues with SB v1.1.2.

I expect to see the full launch (with portabillity) sometime this month (assuming no delays).
